Item #7164
Noble V-653 Soloist Model Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar, made by Wandre, c. 1962, made in Italy, yellow sparkle finish, maple and plastic body, sheathed aluminum neck with rosewood fingerboard.
Overall length is 39 in. (99.1 cm.), 13 1/4 in. (33.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 in. (635 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).
Very nice original condition; there are some typical old tight cracks to the plastic body covering but no major wear. It looks like a small crack by the jack in the plastic inset holding the controls has had a repair, and the area has been sanded/polished a bit. The fragile pickup assembly has no cracks or breaks, which are very common on these.
This guitar was sold originally in the US and the phone jack appears period; European models have a small specific plug that is often dysfunctional. Appears all original except one of the neck securing bolts has been replaced with a functional but aesthetically less pleasing square nut. This extremely rare 3-pickup model plays and sounds extremely well, with new flavors of the completely unique tone Davoli pickups are famous for among connoisseurs of the fretted world of weird. Comes with a modern HSC. Excellent - Condition.
