Item #6383
Villafan Soprano Ukulele, c. 1960s, made in Corpus Christi, TX, natural finish.
Overall length is 21 in. (53.3 cm.), 7 in. (17.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 1/2 in. (6.4 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 13 in. (330 mm.).
Some overall wear; the bridge has been re-glued but appears all original. An interesting and fairly good-sounding uke by a small Texas-based company specializing more in Mexican-style instruments, using a Harmony made molded plastic fingerboard. The workmanship is a bit crude but this is a solid player, and an unusual conversation piece of a ukulele from the Lone Star State. Excellent - Condition.
