Item #4005
McKinney Model Lap Steel Electric Guitar, made by Valco (1950), made in Chicago, yellow pearloid finish, original brown hard shell case.
A very cool pearloid-covered Valco-made steel, with the infamous hot 1950's Supro pickup hidden under a discreet plastic cover. Typical "studio" product of the era, made for issue to the thousands of kids signed up for music lessons in the early 50's. Whoever got this one was lucky...it COULD have been an accordion! Very well-preserved and a nice little screamer of a steel.
Overall length is 32 in. (81.3 cm.), 7 in. (17.8 cm.) width, and 1 1/4 in. (3.2 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 23 in. (584 mm.). Width of nut is 1 15/16 in. (49 mm.).
100% original and very clean, with original case and cord. Excellent + Condition.
