Item #5510
Zen-on Model 1400SD Model Solid Body Electric Guitar, most likely made by Teisco, c. early 1960's, made in Japan, sunburst finish, gig bag case.
Overall length is 39 in. (99.1 cm.), 12 in. (30.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 in. (635 mm.). Width of nut is 1 13/16 in. (46 mm.). Appears all original except for some tuner parts; pretty nice overall except for some heavy dinging to the headstock and visible crack repairs to the clear back-painted pickguard around the volume control and lower tip. A cool sounding guitar, HUGE neck with a flat-radius fingerboard, not the greatest player perhaps (not bad, actually, frets are decent for the time & place but not the most comfortable neck) but a wonderful period piece with a neat Japanese cheesy monster-movie vibe. If you need a guitar to play surfy odes to Gamera or Mothra, this would do nicely! Overall Very Good + Condition.
