Item #3571
Keykord Model Flat Top Tenor Guitar, made by Stromberg-Voisinet, c. 1928, made in Chicago, brown lacquer finish, mahogany body, black tolex soft shell case.
Overall length is 31 1/2 in. (80 cm.), 11 in. (27.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 1/8 in. (7.9 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 20 in. (508 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/4 in. (32 mm.).
This instrument has been refitted with a standard fingerboard and frets for regular play...quite a nice job, and it plays very well. Otherwise, finish and fittings are original. It is currently strung with very light steel strings and tuned in ukulele intervals. The sound is most unusual and rather enchanting. It would also function well as a standard tenor guitar. Very Good + Condition.
