Item #6590
Stradolin Arch Top Mandolin (1940's), made in New York City, natural lacquer finish, maple back and sides, solid spruce top, poplar neck with rosewood fingerboard, original black chipboard case.
Overall length is 25 7/16 in. (64.6 cm.), 10 1/8 in. (25.7 cm.) width, and 1 7/8 in. (4.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 13 3/4 in. (349 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/8 in. (29 mm.). A very nice Stradolin, all original except the tuner buttons (the originals crumbled long ago). Some dings, checking and overall light wear to the finish; the tailpiece cover has some corrosion to the top. Like many period Strad-O-Lin mandolins this is an excellent player with a very sprightly sound. An excellent bargain now-as then-in a solid top, F-hole mandolin. Excellent - Condition.
