Item #3135
Slingerland Maybell Model Banjo Ukulele, c. 1928, made in Chicago, black lacquer finish, maple rim and neck.
A nice typical example of a Slingerland-made banjo uke. Ebony finish all over including fingerboard; 7" rim with closed back arched-plate resonator. Bright-sounding and a good player.
Overall length is 20 1/2 in. (52.1 cm.), 7 in. (17.8 cm.) diameter head, and 2 7/8 in. (7.3 cm.) deep. Scale length is 13 in. (330 mm.).
All original except new bridge; some play wear, especially to the back of the resonator, but overall a nice example. Very Good + Condition.
