Item #3557
Banjo Ukulele, most likely made by Slingerland, c. 1926, made in Chicago, natural lacquer finish, maple rim and neck.
An interesting banjo-uke that appears to have been made by Slingerland in Chicago despite looking rather like a Lange-made New York instrument! Nice maple neck and openback rim, banjo-style headstock with pearl ornament; heavy hoop with good grade hardware. Quite loud and a very attractive, good quality, early-style banjo-uke.
Overall length is 22 in. (55.9 cm.), 7 7/8 in. (20 cm.) diameter head, and 2 1/2 in. (6.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 14 in. (356 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/16 in. (33 mm.).
Nicely original; all fittings original except new nut and skin head. Plays and sounds excellent. Excellent Condition.
