Item #3463

Slingerland Banjo Ukulele, c. 1926, made in Chicago, natural lacquer finish, maple rim and neck, brown canvas soft shell case.

A fine example of a typical earlier 1920's style blonde Slingerland banjo uke. Natural maple finish overall, maple fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, 7" openback rim with burl maple veneer. "Slingerland" script logo stamped on headstock and dowel -- even the nickel tailpiece is marked with the Slingerland logo. Quite loud and bright sounding; a very good player.

Overall length is 20 5/8 in. (52.4 cm.), 6 7/8 in. (17.5 cm.) diameter head, and 2 1/2 in. (6.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 13 in. (330 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/16 in. (33 mm.).

Very clean and all original; even has original "Slingerland Prof. Tone" two-star skin head. Apart from some small spots of staining to the head and light finish wear, looks pretty much as it did in the 1920's. Excellent + Condition.
