Model D'Artagnan (Grand Bouche) Model Gypsy Jazz Guitar, from the workshop of Rodrigo Shopis, c. 2009, made in N.Y. City, amber varnish finish, sitka spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides, figured mahogany neck.
This is a remarkably fine-sounding and extremely powerful instrument. New York luthier Rodrigo Shopis' guitars are in the collections of Samson and Dorado Schmidt and this guitar ranks with his finest!
Overall length is 40 in. (101.6 cm.), 16 1/16 in. (40.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 in. (10.2 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 26 1/4 in. (667 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.).
