Rickenbacker Doubleneck 8 string D-16 Model Lap Steel Electric Guitar, c. 1950, made in Los Angeles, California, metallic grey enamel finish, cast metal body, molded Bakelite necks, hard shell case.
Overall length is 30 in. (76.2 cm.), 13 1/2 in. (34.3 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm.) in depth at deepest point. Scale length is 22 1/2 in. (572 mm.). Width of nut is 2 3/16 in. (56 mm.). Very nice overall with minor wear; one pot replaced and there are mounting holes for legs added to the underside, but no legs included. A fine example of a rare Rickenbacker steel. Excellent Condition.
