A. Galiano Model Flat Back, Bent Top Mandolin, made by Oscar Schmidt, c. 1930, made in Jersey City, NJ, sunburst lacquer with decals finish, birch body, original black soft shell case.
Overall length is 24 in. (61 cm.), 8 11/16 in. (22.1 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 3/8 in. (6 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 13 3/16 in. (335 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/4 in. (32 mm.). Overall good playing condition, straight neck, good frets...numerous finish scratches and dings but a nice sounding depression era mandolin. Very Good + Condition.
