Cittern, attributed to Michael Rauch, c. 1765, made in London, amber varnish finish, maple, spruce, ivory and mother of pearl.
Length is 30 1/2 in. (77.5 cm.), 11 1/2 in. (29.2 cm.) across at the widest point. Scale length is 17 3/8 in. (441 mm.).
Fingerboard is warped, there are top cracks, the nut is a replacement, and one ivory string button is missing. Original Artifact. Unrestored Condition.
