Item #4753
Ludwig Wendell Hall Professional Model Banjo Ukulele, c. 1929, made in Chicago, natural finish, walnut neck and resonator, metal rim, original black soft shell case.
One of the classic banjo-ukes of the 1920's, and one of the most sought-after.
Overall length is 22 3/4 in. (57.8 cm.), 7 1/2 in. (19 cm.) diameter head, and 2 7/8 in. (7.3 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 14 in. (356 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/8 in. (35 mm.). A very fine example; all original including the bridge and head tightening wrench. Even the oft-missing heelcap is intact. Some light wear to the back of the resonator, otherwise very clean. Currently fitted out with more recent 1920's style tuners; the complete set of original (and notoriously hard to keep in tune) top-tension friction pegs are included and may be easily re-installed if desired. Sounds great, an extremely loud and punchy banjo-uke! Excellent Condition.
