Lehle Dual Expression and Model Volume Pedal Effect (2010s), made in Germany, aluminum.
Germany's Lehle devised the Dual Expression as an even more lightweight and versatile follow-up to their well-loved volume pedal. Both pedals center around a sensor that utilizes the Hall effect. Essentially, it is about measuring the strength of magnetic fields. Inside the pedal is a magnet that moves back and forth with the pedal while a specially calibrated sensor inside detects the distance of the magnet and controls the expression circuit accordingly. The result is a smooth, accurate, and highly sustainable alternative to most expression pedals which eventually often require maintenance or pot replacement from heavy mechanical wear.
It boasts a wide 5k to 100k pot range that work with TS or TRS cables; there are two buttons just under the footpedal that allow for polarity switching as well as an option between latch or momentary switching. The usability is smooth and comfortable with an adjustable screw to fine tune the overall "action" an reactivity of the pedal. There is also a USB output to send MIDI data to one's DAW of choice on a computer. There is a tremendous amount of thought behind this simple, lightweight, and smaller footprint utility pedal and it shows.
Height is 8 in. (20.3 cm.), 3 1/2 in. (8.9 cm.) width, and 2 in. (5.1 cm.) in depth at deepest point.
This exceptional expression pedal is in great condition, all original and fully functional with just a few scratches on the back from pedalboard use. It can run off a 9V adapter and does not come with its original box. Excellent Condition.
