Retrofret RetroSet Strings by LaBella, 10's Model Polished Stainless Steel Round wound guitar, made by LaBella, made in New York, NY. At Retrofret Vintage Guitars, we take great pride in curating authentic vintage guitars and their sounds. When it comes to strings there are many choices today, but we searched for something that would create an authentic vintage playing experience while still appealing to the modern ear.

These strings are directly derived from the original 1967 no. 780 "Rock & Roll" set. Exactly re-created by LaBella using the original specs and tooling, the wound strings are a polished roundwound design which combines the smoother feel and taut bass response of flatwound strings while preserving more of the ringing harmonic character typical of a roundwound. We have been using them on a wide range of guitars in our showroom and they have delighted our most critical staff and customers, with a feel and sound that is particularly unique and enhances the sonic character of any guitar - vintage or modern. This set is gauged 10-46 with a plain G and is fitted to many of the solidbody electrics in our showroom.
