Item #12927

Kazuo Yairi YC-505 Model Classical Guitar (1984), made in Japan, natural finish, rosewood back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with ebonized fingerboard, original black hard shell case.

This is a nice mid-grade K. Yairi concert guitar, now over 40 years old with a solid spruce top and laminated rosewood back and sides. Yairi guitars are very nicely made, this is a perfect instrument for a serious student or general recording purposes with a well-rounded sound.

Overall length is 39 in. (99.1 cm.), 14 1/8 in. (35.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 7/8 in. (9.8 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 2 in. (51 mm.).

This guitar is very clean showing little sign of use over the past 40 years, just minor handling marks with small scuffs and dinks to the finish. It plays well and had a good fairly sweet sound Japanese classical from this period, complete in what appears to be the original case. Overall Excellent Condition.
