Kay 5 String Resonator Banjo (1950's), made in Chicago, sunburst lacquer with decals finish, maple neck and rim, rosewood fingerboard, black chipboard case.
Overall length is 38 1/16 in. (96.7 cm.), 11 in. (27.9 cm.) diameter head, and 3 3/8 in. (8.6 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 27 in. (686 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/16 in. (30 mm.). All original except a slightly later 5th string peg; some light wear but overall (mostly scratching to the back of the resonator) but overall well preserved. Set up with an old skin head, nice mellow sound, an excellent value in a beginner's banjo in the 1950's and now! Excellent Condition.
