Item #5665

Kalamazoo KGN-32 Model Arch Top Acoustic Guitar (1941), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, natural lacquer finish, laminated maple back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, black chipboard case. `

Overall length is 40 9/16 in. (103 cm.), 16 1/8 in. (41 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 1/4 in. (8.3 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

Very nice overall. Not a lot of wear to the finish, but some typical checking. There is an old heel crack repair (through the heel and into the bass side rib) that is quite visible; this is solidly sealed without any major overspray or attempts to disguise it. The rest of the guitar is very well-preserved and an excellent player with a quite strong sound. All hardware original except for the tuners, which are recent repros of the original strip Kluson openbacks. A particularly nice later period Kalamazoo, a good example of the best offerings from Gibson's in-house budget brand. Overall Very Good + Condition.
