Kalamazoo KG-31 Model Arch Top Acoustic Guitar, c. 1935, made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, mahogany back, sides and neck; spruce top, rosewood fingerboard.

Overall length is 40 3/4 in. (103.5 cm.), 16 1/4 in. (41.3 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 1/4 in. (8.3 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). Overall a good playing example of this basic 16" Kalamazoo arch-top with some general finish wear overall, mostly some fairly heavy dings and scrapes to the top in the typical pickwear zones and headstock edges. The guitar has the original finish and mostly original hardware including the adjustable rosewood bridge, Gibson-style tailpiece and even the striped tortoise celluloid pickguard, with a new bracket. The tuners are recent Kluson Deluxe reissues. With a pressed solid spruce top this guitar is better sounding than many inexpensive period archtops, this is a very solid guitar with a chunky neck and big rhythmic punch. Very Good + Condition.
