Item #8296
James Trussart Steel Deville Model Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar (2010), made in Los Angeles, California, serial # 8158, aged steel finish, steel body, maple neck with ebony fingerboard., original hard shell case.
The James Trussart Steel Deville is this unique luthier's take on the single-cutaway Les Paul format, after finding fame initially building mostly Telecaster-styled guitars. Trussart describes the aged and gently distressed finish on this guitar as "Antique Silver"; it also features a large Chinese dragon engraving on the face. This particular 2010 guitar was the first to carry this dragon design.
The instrument's hollow steel body serves as a unique resonating chamber, and combined with the Arcane pickups and Tone Pros bridge creates a distinctive tone particular to Trussart guitars. A very striking instrument both visually and tonally, and certainly not just another Les Paul knockoff!
Overall length is 39 7/8 in. (101.3 cm.), 13 in. (33 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).
This guitar looks very little played -- the frets and fingerboard show virtually no wear -- and, of course, the body is pre-aged! A very nice example of Trussart's instantly recognizable guitar work, complete with the original HSC and some warranty paperwork. Overall Near Mint Condition.
