Item #7376

Harmony Stratotone Mercury H-48 Model Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1959), made in Chicago, natural lacquer finish, laminated maple body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard.

Overall length is 38 1/4 in. (97.2 cm.), 13 1/4 in. (33.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 7/8 in. (4.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 in. (610 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.).

A super nice example all original (except for a strap button added to the top bout) and quite well-preserved overall, with only some general light wear. There are some shallow dings in the back of the neck, mostly behind the third fret area, but nothing too serious. The metalwork shows a little corrosion here and there, and there are a couple of marks in the finish around the base of the bridge. This one has a great straight neck and only a bit of fret wear; one of the nicest looking and best playing of this model we have seen. Excellent Condition.
