Item #6045
Harmony Rocket H-53 Model Thinline Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1967), made in Chicago, red sunburst finish, laminated maple body, maple neck with, black chipboard case.
Overall length is 40 1/4 in. (102.2 cm.), 15 5/8 in. (39.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 15/16 in. (4.9 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 in. (610 mm.). Width of nut is 1 13/16 in. (46 mm.). Some overall wear but nothing too serious; most notably the headstock edges are a bit worn and there are small chips and flakes overall. All original hardware except for a set of big '70's Grover Rotomatics with tulip buttons and newer strap buttons. The single pickup H-53 Rocket model is fairly rare; this is a late single-cutaway example with one great-sounding "gold foil" DeArmond in the neck position. A better player with a straighter neck than many of these; good frets with very little wear. A good solid gigging or knock around example of Harmony's garage band classics. Overall Excellent - Condition.
