Item #4730
Guild Starfire II Model Thinline Hollow Body Electric Guitar, c. 1962, made in Hoboken, NJ, cherry lacquer finish, laminated mahogany body, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, period hard shell case.
An interesting example of a '60's Starfire...this appears to be a c. 1961-62 Starfire II that was returned to the factory around 1966, receving a new neck and likely a new cherry finish. A great sounding, great playing Starfire that is a most unusual mix of features!
Overall length is 41 1/2 in. (105.4 cm.), 16 1/4 in. (41.3 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 15/16 in. (4.9 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). Clean and complete, a very nice player and a cool bargain in a 60's Starfire. Excellent Condition.
