Item #5439
Guild M-75 Aristocrat Model Thinline Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1957), made in Hoboken, NJ, serial # 5178, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, laminated mahogany body and neck, spruce top, rosewood fingerboard, original brown tolex hard shell case.
Overall length is 39 3/4 in. (101 cm.), 13 5/8 in. (34.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 1/8 in. (5.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). Very fine overall-this is one of the nicest examples of this model we have ever seen. All original finish and fittings; the binding (often a sore point on 50's Guilds!) in excellent shape with no deterioration on body at all and some *faint* indications of shrinkage on the fingerboard edges (does not affect playing). Some small dings overall-the most noticeable marks are a couple of scratches in the top by the tone control. An excellent player with the typlcally distinctive sound of this model. Includes a nice OHSC. Overall Excellent Condition.
