Guild D-40 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1968), made in Hoboken, NJ, serial # AJ-2782, natural lacquer finish, mahogany back, sides and neck, spruce top, rosewood fingerboard, original black chipboard case.
Overall length is 41 3/4 in. (106 cm.), 15 3/4 in. (40 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 7/8 in. (12.4 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). A very clean, original guitar overall; one small repaired pickguard crack is the only real sign of age. One very small area of finish burn to the back of the headstock, otherwise the finish is extremely well preserved. About as nice a '60's Guild flattop as we expect to see! Excellent + Condition.
