Item #5965

Gretsch Single Anniversary 6124 Model Arch Top Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1961), made in Brooklyn, NY, sunburst lacquer finish, Laminated maple body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, original grey hard shell case.

Overall length is 41 1/8 in. (104.5 cm.), 15 1/2 in. (39.4 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 1/2 in. (6.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 in. (635 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). This is a good playing '60's Gretsch; nice clean finish with just a few dings, all original except a repro Space Control bridge. This guitar has had a neck set, new frets and nut and the tuners are restored to original from Kuson-style units. Very strong neck angle (this will never need a neckset again!) and the binding is intact and not disentegrating except for a little cracking on the piece alongside the neck heel. There is one repaired crack in the pickguard. Overall a nice early '60's Gretsch player, complete with the OHSC. Excellent - Condition.
