Gretsch PX6196 Country Club Model Arch Top Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1957), made in Brooklyn, NY, Cadillac Green finish, Laminate Maple Body and Neck, Rosewood Fingerboard, original blue-grey hard shell case.
Overall length is 41 3/4 in. (106 cm.), 16 7/8 in. (42.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 3/4 in. (7 cm.) deep. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). This is a fine example of one of Gretsch's most loved 1950's creations. All original finish and hardware except the celluloid pickup risers have been removed due to deterioration. (These are included dismounted). There are some small dings and chips but overall the finish is finely preserved with virtually no fade, the gold platiing has worn down to a subtle patina in most exposed spots. Has had a top-grade pro refret and new nut, no other alterations. An excellent player, includes a very nice OHC. Excellent Condition.
