Item #3409

Gretsch Model 6130 Round Up Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1957), made in Brooklyn, NY, "Sunset Orange" laquer finish, mahogany body and neck, laminated maple top, original two-tone tolex hard shell case.

One of the most interesting Gretsch instruments we have ever seen and a guitar so rare you won't find it in any book...this is quite likely literally "the Last Round Up," or at least one of the final batch made!

All original condition, some average bucklewear to back and light play wear, fingerboard has slight divots in the "cowboy chord" area -- how appropriate! Original tortoise celluloid pickguard shows some deterioration but has been stabilized; the metal parts adjacent to it show the effects of some nitrate gas exposure, but nothing overly seriousthe Filter'tron directly above the guard show the most discoloration. Top finish has very little wear. Most of the gold plating is worn off the metal hardware.

This is one of the best playing and sounding Gretsch "solid-body" guitars we have ever had and a fabulous find, complete with original two-tone grey HSC. Excellent Condition.
