Gretsch G7593 White Falcon Model Arch Top Hollow Body Electric Guitar (2005), Japan.
This Terada-made Gretsch is a very interesting hybrid, different from most of the company's other Falcon offerings in being mostly inspired by the 1970s Baldwin-era originals. Features like the deeper body with smaller f-holes, angular pickguard, and Atkins handle on the Bigsby are correct for that period, while the '60s style Filter'Tron pickups, indented G knobs, and '50s style Grover imperial tuners hearken back to older guitars. A very fine instrument, typical of the quality Terada brings to the Gretsch line, and a superb-sounding and always spectacular-looking guitar.
Overall length is 43 1/4 in. (109.9 cm.), 17 in. (43.2 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 3/4 in. (7 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).
Super clean; hardly a mark on this one. It looks to have spent most of the past 10+ years in the case. There is a bit of wear to the gold plating on the Bigsby handle (from handling!) and a couple of small stress marks on the screw mounting areas of the plastic pickup surrounds (just like the originals!), but overall this guitar is not far off from showroom condition. It plays and sounds excellent as well -- a very fine modern Gretsch. Excellent + Condition.
