Gretsch Double Anniversary Model Arch Top Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1964), made in Brooklyn, NY, serial # 65809, sunburst lacquer finish, laminated maple body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, original grey hard shell case.
Overall length is 42 1/2 in. (108 cm.), 15 3/4 in. (40 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 5/8 in. (6.7 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 1/2 in. (622 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.). Overall a nice example, and an extremely fine player with a recent high-grade refret with period correct wire and older neck re-set. All hardware is original, and the finish as well except for an overspray to the back of the neck and heel area. There is a decent amount of finish wear to the back of the neck (some of it now under a clearcoat overspray) but the rest of the finish shows only some checking and minor wear. There is some minor typical binding deterioration on the treble top edge and only which does not affect the guitar's integrity. A really nice first-year HiLo'Tron Double Anniversary, complete with the original (a bit battered but functional) OHSC. Overall Excellent - Condition.
