Item #7092
Goya Panther II Model 118JB Model Solid Body Electric Bass Guitar, c. 1966, made in Italy, red/black sunburst Polyester finish, basswood body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard.
Overall length is 46 in. (116.8 cm.), 12 1/2 in. (31.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 30 1/2 in. (775 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/2 in. (38 mm.).
This bass is fairly well worn overall, with a number of decent size chips and dents to the body finish but no large areas of finish loss. There are some parts losses and changes; two of the unusual VanGent tuners are replaced by later Japanese pegs, the one big volume knob is old but not original, and the handrest and bridge cover are missing. Despite the wear, this remains a very nice player with a solid neck and surprisingly good range of sounds; one of the very best of the "Italian specials" of the '60s. Overall Very Good + Condition.
