Gibson Ultratone Model Lap Steel Electric Guitar (1954), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, blue lacquer finish, maple body, plastic fingerboard, brown original hard shell case.
One of Gibson's most whimsical 50's moderne creations, the multitone blue Ultratone Steel Guitar features an oblong asymmetrical body with backpainted lucite accents. A single P-90 coil under the decorative cover provides the tonal muscle to back up the outrageous looks!
Overall length is 32 1/4 in. (81.9 cm.), 8 1/8 in. (20.6 cm.) width, and 1 13/16 in. (4.6 cm.) deep. Scale length is 22 1/2 in. (572 mm.).
Very fine overall with some minor finish dings and wear. Tuner buttons replaced, otherwise all original. Great original rectangular brown case. Excellent Condition.
