Item #2748

Gibson UB-1 Model Banjo Ukulele, c. 1928, made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, natural lacquer finish, mahogany neck and rim, ebonized maple fingerboard.

One of our favorite instruments! Although the UB-1 was the least expensive Gibson instrument ever, they are still well-made and have a very specific sound all to themselvesrather like they are already coming off of a 78 disc!

Fun, eminently playable, and awful darn cute!

Overall length is 20 in. (50.8 cm.), 6 in. (15.2 cm.) diameter head, and 3 in. (7.6 cm.) deep. Scale length is 12 1/2 in. (318 mm.).

All original except newer head; a very nice example. One repaired stress crack in rim below a bracket shoe on each side of rim; otherwise nearly perfect.

Plays and sounds excellent. Excellent Condition.
