Gibson Style A "Snakehead" Model Carved Top Mandolin, c. 1924, made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, black varnish finish, birch body, mahogany neck, black tolex original hard shell case.
A very well-played and great-sounding snakehead A mandolin, from the era of the greatest flowering of Gibson's mandolin designs.
Overall length is 25 9/16 in. (64.9 cm.), 10 1/16 in. (25.6 cm.) wide, and 1 7/8 in. (4.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 14 in. (356 mm.). Very Good Condition.
