Gibson Style A Model Carved Top Mandolin (1918), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial # 11052 (FON), brown stain finish, birch back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, original canvas case.
Overall length is 25 3/4 in. (65.4 cm.), 10 1/4 in. (26 cm.) wide, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 14 in. (356 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/4 in. (32 mm.). This old browntop A is little beat up but GREAT sounding; all original except missing the pickguard. An unassuming looking mandolin that really comes to life when played! Overall Very Good + Condition.
