Gibson Style A-1 Model Carved Top Mandolin (1918), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial # 45360, natural varnish finish, spruce top, mahogany back sides and neck, rosewood fingerboard, original black hard shell case.
Overall length is 25 7/8 in. (65.7 cm.), 10 in. (25.4 cm.) width, and 1 7/8 in. (4.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 14 in. (356 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/4 in. (32 mm.). Very clean overall, all original and complete except the pickguard has gone missing. Some minor wear, mostly to the back of the neck, but not a lot of play wear evident.
