Item #3621
Gibson SJ-200N Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1954), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, natural lacquer finish, maple sides, back and neck, spruce top, original brown hard shell case.
This is a very rare and interesting (and great sounding!) 1950's blonde J-200 with factory double pickguards, the top section engraved with the original owner's name. We havn't found out who "BUCK" was, but he bought himself one fine (and expensive) guitar in 1954!
Overall length is 42 1/8 in. (107 cm.), 17 in. (43.2 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 15/16 in. (12.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).
Nicely original guitar; some heavy playwear down by the fingerboard and near the soundhole. There is a patched jackhole in the side and several well-repaired side cracks, but overall this is a very solid guitar. Very Good + Condition.
