Item #4394
Gibson RB-1 Conversion Model 5 String Resonator Banjo, c. 1926, made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, brown stain finish, maple neck, resonator and rim, rosewood fingerboard, molded plastic gig bag case.
An original 1920s rim, resonator, and tone ring with a correct-style reproduction neck (with pearl script logo instead of silver paint) and re-issue hooks and hoop. A very good, authentically period-sounding old-time banjo -- perfect for those Uncle Dave Macon songs!
Overall length is 37 1/2 in. (95.2 cm.), 11 in. (27.9 cm.) diameter head, and 3 1/4 in. (8.3 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 26 1/2 in. (673 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/4 in. (32 mm.).
Minor wear to the 1920s parts; otherwise nearly perfect. Overall Excellent + Condition.
