Item #6281

Gibson LG-2 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1952), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, mahogany back, sides and neck; spruce top, rosewood fingerboard, original brown alligator chipboard case.

Overall length is 39 3/4 in. (101 cm.), 14 3/8 in. (36.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/2 in. (11.4 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). Amazingly clean, this guitar still shines and shows only slight signs of use or age. There are a few tiny dings and scuffs and some very light fret wear. All original except for repro tuner buttons as the originals had crumbled away, and original saddle has been lowered somewhat. Great sound-basically an almost new 60+ year old guitar, complete with its original alligator-grained chip case. Excellent + Condition.
