Gibson LG-2 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar, c. 1943, made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, mahogany back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original brown alligator chipboard case.

Overall length is 39 3/4 in. (101 cm.), 14 1/4 in. (36.2 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 7/16 in. (11.3 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.). A very fine player with some moderately heavy wear overall, the most noticeable is a patch below the pickguard that has been touched up. Several solidly repaired top cracks, one on each upper bout and one on the top edgeof the pickguard under the B string. One area of heavily distressed finish on the back, with a crack at the center. A well played but nicely original guitar, including wartime kluson tuners and uncut bridge. Huge neck, lots of saddle and a huge, powerful sound. Overall Very Good + Condition.
