Gibson LG-2 3/4 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1958), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst top, dark stained back and sides finish, mahogany body and neck, spruce top.

Gibsons don't come much cuter than this! The diminutive 3/4 LG-2 is the company's equivalent to Martin's 5-18, and although created for the student market of the 1950's is a fully professional-quality guitar. The narrow-waisted curvy body form is actually handed down from Gibson's 1920's TG series tenor guitars, not the broader-waist LG design of the 1940's. While designated an LG-2 3/4, it carries a ladder-braced top like the full-sized LG-1; presumably Gibson decided a top this small didn't merit the full X-braced treatment. A great-playing little guitar and a real find for those who prefer a small-bodied instrument.

Overall length is 36 3/4 in. (93.3 cm.), 12 7/8 in. (32.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 in. (10.2 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 22 3/4 in. (578 mm.). Width of nut is 1 9/16 in. (40 mm.).

All original; several long sealed back cracks, one tiny pickguard crack, otherwise no significant damage or repair. Average light finish wear overall. Plays and sounds very well. Excellent Condition.
