Gibson LG-1 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar, c. 1948, made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst top, dark stained back and sides finish, mahogany body and neck, spruce top, hard shell case.
Overall length is 39 1/2 in. (100.3 cm.), 14 1/4 in. (36.2 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 3/8 in. (11.1 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.).
Finish wear overall; some dings and scrapes to the top, but nothing excessive. Added strap button on heel. Back center seam re-sealed; there is also an old vinyl-strap burn to the back. A number of dings to the back of the neck, but overall a great-sounding, fine-playing, and nicely original old LG-1. Very Good + Condition.
