Item #6558

Gibson LG-0 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1959), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial # S2010-28, natural mahogany finish, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, black hard shell case.

Overall length is 39 1/2 in. (100.3 cm.), 14 1/2 in. (36.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/2 in. (11.4 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). A very nice example of Gibson's all-mahogany learner's guitar from the end of the 1950's. Overall light wear; there is some typical general finish dings and checking but no major losses to the lacquer and the only visible repair is a couple of sealed grain cracks on the back, near the upper waist. The pickguard appears to have been re-glued (or glued for the first time-most were originally screwed on!) sometime in the past with a bit of visible glue at the leading edge. An excellent player with a nice sweet sound, complete with a good modern HSC. Excellent - Condition.
