Item #11875
Gibson Les Paul Custom Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1984), made in Nashville, TN, serial # 80754550, black lacquer finish, mahogany body with maple cap; mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, original molded black plastic hard shell case.
Overall length is 39 1/4 in. (99.7 cm.), 13 in. (33 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 in. (5.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.)., 10.42 lbs.
This not-quite 40-year-old Les Paul Custom is very clean overall, showing some light play wear with scuffing to the pickguard and some VERY small nicks and dings here and there but no repairs or alterations. The gold plating is worn away a bit on the pickup covers (more heavily on the neck pickup) and for some reason the jackplate. The original tuners are the quirky "internal crank" machines Gibson promoted heavily around this time.
This guitar was originally sold in Japan, and has a small sticker on the back of the headstock identifying it as an "Authorized Instrument". There is a little bit of wear to the original frets but this is still a super nice player, which even nearly four decades on feels nearly new. Set up and ready to go, it lives in the original period molded "Chainsaw" HSC with some original Gibson paperwork (marked for another Custom from the same period) including an interesting warranty card from Gibson in Japan. Overall Excellent + Condition.
