Item #6931

Gibson Les Paul Custom Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1973), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial # 180709, tobacco sunburst finish, laminated mahogany body with maple cap; laminated mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, black hard shell case.

Overall length is 39 1/4 in. (99.7 cm.), 13 in. (33 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 7/8 in. (4.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). This guitar has some average play and handling wear but remains all original except for one correct style but slightly later (and cleaner!) tone knob. There are two fairly small dings to the top with a bit of touch-up added and a few scratches and some checking but overall the lovely tobacco sunburst finish is still very attractive with little fading. There is some belt buckle wear to the back into (but not through) the finish, a couple of small dings to the back of the neck but the rest of the lacquer is still quite nicely preserved. The original small "Fretless Wonder" frets show some wear but the guitar plays quite well, and sounds excellent, a very nice example of a '70's Custom in this relatively rare Tobacco Sunburst finish. Overall Excellent - Condition.
