Item #5285
Gibson Les Paul Custom 1954 Reissue Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1973), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, black lacquer finish, mahogany body and neck, ebony fingerboard, original black tolex hard shell case.
Overall length is 39 1/2 in. (100.3 cm.), 13 in. (33 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 7/8 in. (4.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). An extremely fine example of this sought-after Gibson. One unusual feature of this guitar is the fretting-while this particular model usually sports the low 'fretless wonder' frets this one has standard large Gibson 1970's wire. This is so perfectly executed it looks like factory work, down to the proper fret nubs on the binding, and makes this a much friendlier player for most Les Paul enthusuiasts. All other hardware is original except the switch tip (the cracked original is in the case) one tone cap and the jack. Lovely finish with only minor wear, typical wear to the gold plating but nothing excessive. Complete with an excellent OHSC. Overall Excellent + Condition.
