Item #4044

Gibson L-7 Model Arch Top Acoustic Guitar (1946), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, maple back and sides, spruce top; laminated maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, hard shell case.

A very early post-WWII L-7, still with the pre-war script logo. A nice player both acoustically and electrically with a big chunky sound.

Height is 40 1/2 in. (102.9 cm.), 17 in. (43.2 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 3/8 in. (8.6 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.). One long repaired top crack off treble F hole, back center seam reglued, general wear but overall nice playing condition. Set up with a floating pickup, tone and volume and jack all mounted to the original pickguard, which is intact but shows signs of celluloid deterioration. A very good sounding guitar both acoustically and electric. Generally Excellent Condition.
