Item #6014
Gibson L-48 Model Arch Top Acoustic Guitar (1948), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, original brown tolex hard shell case.
Overall length is 40 1/2 in. (102.9 cm.), 16 1/16 in. (40.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 3/8 in. (8.6 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). Well played but not abused with some general wear, most notably to the edges of the headstock; there are small dings and checking but no major finish loss, damage or repair. The tuners are later 1960's individual Kluson Deluxe and the pickguard is missing; all other hardware is original. Very good sound; an excellent player and a good value in a vintage Gibson archtop. Very Good + Condition.
