Item #2579
Gibson L-4 Model Arch Top Acoustic Guitar (1951), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst lacquer finish, maple body, spruce top, mahogany neck, black tolex hard shell case.
A really nice example of a great 16" carved top guitar for a reasonable price! Extremely clean overall; finish shows very light wear and checking, and still has original shine.
Plays and sounds very well. A fine swing guitar.
Overall length is 40 1/4 in. (102.2 cm.), 16 1/8 in. (41 cm.) width, and 3 1/4 in. (8.2 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.).
Extremely fine overall; some very light finish wear. All original, except tailpiece is period nickel Grover occasionally used by Gibson on other archtops but not usually on L-4's.
Case is 70's hardshell. Excellent + Condition.
